Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al Faisal opened the
construction works of the Development of the Northern
Corniche of Jeddah on 6. June 2011.

On 18th June the 4th Catalog show opened in Riyadh. German companies presented their products and services. The opening ceremony was part of the well known German breakfast. Dietmar Kamphans, proprietor of KLA, participated in this event with the intention of further promotion on the Saudi Arabian market.
This project is aimed to make Yanbu one of the major
tourist attractions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The seafront project is stretching 12 km along the
Red Sea coast.
Construction works are progressing for Phases 1 and 4.

KLA is advisor for the landscape design of this prestigious project in the vicinity of Riyadh. The harsh environmental conditions require specialist know-how which Dietmar Kamphans gained during his past 25 years work in Saudi Arabia. The overall design has been designed by Zaha Hadid.
During November 2010 a group of German Architects
and Engineers visited Riyadh and Jeddah. Beside meetings
with high ranking Saudi partners they visited different
projects in both cities. Dietmar Kamphans guided the
delegation along the Jeddah North Corniche. The North
Corniche (12 km) and the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Street
(7 km) will be redesigned by KLA.

landscape design works of 445,000 m2 of public open
spaces and some 30,000 m Streetscape within this new
urban quarter. The area is located in the North of Jeddah.
